Special conditions in written tests and exams
Students with disabilities can receive reasonable academic accommodations.
If you have a specific learning disability, ADHD or autism, you may be eligible for special conditions in tests and exams. These can include extra time, an alternate room with fewer students, and the use of a reader, writer or computer.
Special conditions are based on relevant and current supporting documentation, such as specialist letters or learning assessment reports. It also helps to provide confirmation of special conditions from your school SENCO or NZQA.
