Screenings and learning assessments

Screenings and learning assessments are for institutional purposes only. They help us to:

  • Confirm whether you have a disability.
  • Work out which academic accommodations are appropriate for you.
  • Identify your learning strengths and weaknesses.
  • Determine what other supports you need.

A learning assessment is conducted in English and may cover these areas of functioning:

  • Verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
  • Information processing, e.g., memory and attention.
  • Relevant academic skills, e.g., reading, spelling, written expression, mathematics.
