Academic development

Learning Disabilities Advisers help you develop learning and study-related skills.

Working collaboratively, we identify the academic skills you need to develop and then design a tailored learning programme based on your personal strengths and weaknesses.

This could include advice on:

  • Writing and reading development.
  • Workload management.
  • Note-taking skills.
  • Proofing/editing skills.
  • Test/exam taking skills.
  • Suitable assistive technology, e.g., text-to-speech and voice recognition software, and funding possibilities.
