Laptops / Portable wifi hotspots

Students who require a laptop to be able to study from home can access one by filling out this survey.

Should you have an urgent need for a device please send an email which includes your contact address details to coronavirus@auckland.ac.nz.

VPN

The Virtual Private Network (VPN) service is available to all staff, postgraduate students and authorised contractors. If your computer is not connected to the University network, but you want to access certain resources, you may need to establish a VPN connection, you may also need VPN when accessing University internal resources not publicly accessible through the internet.

The software application client you need installed is called FortiClient VPN. Detailed guidance and instructions on how to install and use FortiClient can be obtained from the following links:

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 can be downloaded and installed on your personal devices from the Microsoft portal. More information is available on our IT essentials page.

FlexIT

FlexIT is an online service that gives students access to software applications from any device at any time. As long as you have a computer or supported device that has an internet connection, you will be able to access FlexIT. If you are a staff member you can request access through this form: Request Access to FlexIT
