Printing using the wireless network

There are several ways you can print to the Follow Me print queues from your own device.

Copying instructions

  1. Tap your Campus Card on the card reader.
  2. Once logged in, press Copy from the home screen.
  3. Select the copy features required.
  4. Enter the number of copies using the numerical keypad.
  5. Press the Start button.
  6. Once finished, press the Home icon (top left of screen) and logout.

Printing using a dedicated printer or multifunction device (MFD)

  1. Log on to a computer using your username and password.
  2. Open the document you want to print.
  3. Click on the print icon or go to FILE > PRINT.
  4. Select a printer: FollowMe B&W or FollowMe Colour. If your document requires no further change in settings, click OK.
  5. Some locations have single-sided printing set as the default and others have double-sided. To change between double and single-sided printing, click on FILE > PRINT > SETTINGS then select the appropriate option.
  6. Go to a print station or an MFD and tap your Campus Card (ID) on the card reader. If your ID card does not log you in, manually enter your username and password in the relevant field.
  7. Once logged in either select Print all or press Print release to select your print job(s).
  8. Remember to log out once you have finished.

Scanning using a multifunction device (MFD)

Tap your Campus Card (ID) on the card reader. Or tap the [LOGIN] icon and manually enter your username and password using the touch-screen.

Papercut scanning

  1. Once logged in, press Scan from the home screen.
  2. Select the required scan option(s).
  3. Place the document in the tray.
  4. Press the Scan button.
  5. Once finished, remember to log out.

WebDrop scanning

  1. Once logged in, press Copy from the home screen.
  2. Press WebDrop Scan at the top of the screen.
  3. Place the document in the tray.
  4. Select WebDrop Off from the list of addresses on the screen.
  5. Press Start.
  6. Once finished, press the Home icon and log out.

Scanning using a dedicated scanner

Dedicated scanners are located in the Kate Edger Information Commons on Levels 0, 2, 3 and 4.

  1. Logon to Express PC
  2. Place document face-down on scanner glass
  3. Click Start, then select Adobe Acrobat DC
  4. Click: File > Create > PDF from Scanner
  5. In the next window, click Scan
  6. Select your preferred settings, e.g., colour picture, then click Scan
  7. When done, your scan will be displayed.
  8. To save, click File > Save as, then name and save your scan to your preferred file storage location, e.g., cloud, external drive.
