About adding money

You can add money to your balance at any of the IC Helpdesks or by using one of the self-service EPOS stations located on campus.

  • Remember to bring your Student ID card.
  • Any unused portion of your money is carried forward from one year to the next.

The IC Helpdesks only accept payments via EFTPOS or credit card.

Note: You must carry your University of Auckland student ID card at all times while on campus. Your ID card will be needed for purposes such as adding money to your balance and borrowing books/laptops from the Library/Information Commons.

Autoloader

You can use coins and notes to add money to your copy and print balance at an autoloader machine.

The autoloader machines and IC Helpdesks do not give out change.

Self-service EPOS stations

Use an EPOS self-service station to add money to your balance using EFTPOS or credit card.

How to use an EPOS station

  • Swipe your University ID card
  • Select Add funds
  • Select or enter the amount you wish to add by using the touch-screen
  • Select continue to confirm the amount
  • When prompted, swipe your EFTPOS or credit card
  • Enter your PIN number, taking care to keep it secure and secret
  • Wait for the transaction to process
  • A receipt will be printed out
  • Select Log out
  • Keep your receipt

Printing Credit

If you use a printer or an MFD (Multi-Function Device: copier, printer, scanner in one) and experience problems (e.g., pages printed out blank), you should notify the local IT support staff and fill out the printing credit form.

ITS will investigate the claim and if successful, funds will be credited back to your CAPS (Copy and Print Service) account for the faulty print/copy job.

Printing Refund

  • Refunds can ONLY be claimed if you are graduating or leaving the University.
  • You can obtain a refund for any money you add to your own copy and print balance.
  • Departmental allocations are non-refundable.
  • Refunds can ONLY be made into New Zealand bank accounts.
