Intercampus requests - Newmarket Campus

Get books sent to the Newmarket Campus and returned to the City Campus.


Delivery

Books and other materials – collect from Newmarket Campus
  • Books are delivered to the Newmarket campus twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays, arriving between 11am and 12pm approximately.
  • Items will be available for pickup from the departmental cubby-holes located adjacent to reception in building 902, level 3 after 12pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Items will be issued to your library account before leaving the General Library, and due dates will be available in the front of the book as well as on My Library Account.
  • Use the Newmarket Campus Request a book form, rather than requesting through the catalogue like other intercampus requests.
  • This is not an urgent service. If you require items urgently, it is recommended that you visit the General Library in person.
  • Short loans are not available for loan using this service.
Journal articles and book chapters – emailed to you
  • You may request a copy of an article or book chapter from an item available at another campus or at Off-Campus Storage to be emailed to you.
  • Use the Catalogue to locate the record of the item you want. Click on the title and sign in to My Library Account. Select the Request option Get part and enter details in the Comment field.
  • Items will be scanned and emailed to you at no charge. Copyright conditions apply. Allow 2-3 working days for delivery.
  • Scanned articles are provided in PDF format. You will need the free Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer.
  • The Library emails items to your Student email or your University staff email address. See My Library Account for information on changing your library contact information.

Returns

  • To avoid fines, renew or return items by the due date, or by the new due date for requested items.
  • Copies of journal articles and book chapters scanned and emailed to you do not need to be returned.
  • Return items to the blue delivery crate situated by the departmental cubby-holes located adjacent to reception in building 902, level 3 by 11am on Mondays and Thursdays to ensure they are returned to the City Campus that same day. You can return items via this service that you did not request via this service.
  • You can also return items in person to the Philson Library on the Grafton Campus.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure items are returned to the City Campus by the due date to avoid fines. You are responsible for paying any overdue fines.
