Institutional Figshare service enables publication and supports discovery of the University's *research data* in all formats and subjects.

*research data* is anything created, collected or generated in the course of research or creative process, e.g., code, datasets, interviews, media (images, audio, and videos), posters, presentations, samples, workflow.


Indexed by google, searchable by all.

Self-service upload of files is available to all University of Auckland staff and PhD candidates, others on request.

Log in > select Institutional account and provide University email address > University username and password

Published content is assigned a persistent digital identifier (DOI) through DataCite and indexed by Google.

Collaborate using Projects and Collections.

Sensitive data may be registered with a 'Metadata only record' to enable awareness that the data exists and facilitate controlled access managed by the data owner.

Data uploaded can be private, public, or embargoed until a specified date.

Edit profile to provide ORCiD and social media links to maximise impact metrics.

Service is provided by the Centre for eResearch and files are hosted by ITS storage.
