Databases \ ScienceDirect

Journals and e-books from Elsevier and affiliated publishers, mostly in the sciences. Elsevier is the leading STEM publisher. For broader coverage of your research topic, use a subject-specific database or suitable multidisciplinary database. From ScienceDirect you may also access Scopus.

Varies from journal to journal: usually at least 1994 onwards, although most journals are covered from the first issue published.

You can create an Elsevier personal login to save searches, create alerts, access the results of alerts, and use your recent search history. You can also use your personal login in other Elsevier products, such as Scopus and ClinicalKey.

If you open a ScienceDirect PDF in your browser but cannot save it, go back and put your mouse pointer over the link to the PDF, then click the right mouse button and save it from the menu that pops up.
