Databases \ Literature Online

Primary and secondary resources for the learning and teaching of English, American, and European literatures.

The primary resources cover the literature from 600 AD to the present. Links are provided to works that appear in Early English Books Online (EEBO). Multimedia resources are provided in audio and video formats, with the Shakespeare Audio Collection and Poets On Screen (viewed via RealPlayer or Windows Media Player).

The secondary resources are the Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (ABELL) and the MLA International Bibliography, both of which have a high percentage of full-text journal articles, or link to the full text, including to those in JSTOR and Project Muse. The MLA indexes theses and provides links to the full text in ProQuest Dissertations & Theses. A number of full-text key reference works are provided, including the King James Bible and links to selected Oxford Reference Online titles.
