Rare journals printed between 1685-1835, illuminating all aspects of 18th century social, political and literary life.


The Library's licence covers modules I-V.
I contains 95 titles from the Hope Collection at the Bodleian Library, Oxford.
II was selected from 17th and 18th century newspapers and periodicals held at the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the University of Texas.
III focuses on journals published outside of London. It includes British provincial publications and titles from Ireland, Canada, India and the Caribbean.
IV offers publications sourced from Chetham's Library, Manchester, and the Brotherton Library at the University of Leeds.
V includes The Lady's Magazine and other titles published 1712-1835, sourced from the Birmingham Central Library, the British Library, and Cambridge and Liverpool University.
