The Māori and Pasifika Information Services Team deliver a full range of information services to the
Māori and Pasifika
community of The University of Auckland, as well as a limited range to patrons external to The University.
Liaison Librarian Service
The Māori Liaison Librarian
and/or Pasifika
Liaison Librarian, in conjunction with various team
members offer the following services:
- One on one research consultations
- Subject seminars or tutorials
- Services to distance students enrolled in Māori or Pasifika courses
- Email information service - send an information request by email to either the
Māori Liaision Librarian (for Māori information requests) or the
Pasifika Laision Librarian (for Pasifika information
requests)
Other Information Services
All team members are involved in the delivery
of the following services for Māori and Pasifika
staff and students of the University of Auckland:
- Drop in and visit us - make a personal visit to
our team offices - for the best service, please
make an appointment first.
- Te
Huka-ā-tai
complex, based in Māori Studies
provides computers, photocopier for Māori Studies and
Māori Education undergraduate students.
- Pasifika Liaison Librarian in the Fale -
Each Thursday morning during Semester, the Pasifika Liaison Librarian
is based in the Fale to help faciilitate
information queries for Pasifika students and
staff undertaking courses at the Fale Pasifika complex.
- Ask-a-librarian on-line information service - send a Māori or Pasifika information request
via this service on-line.
- Recommend a book - let us know if there is a
book on a Māori or Pasifika topic that we don't
have in the library and should probably purchase
a copy of.
Please note: If you are not a member of
the University of Auckland community, some of the
services outlined on this page may not be
available to you, or may be limited.

Office Hours
The team office hours during Semester are 9.00am to 4.00pm, but vary during Summer School, the mid-semester and
inter-semester breaks and close during public holidays.
