Mission Statement

    The Engineering Library complies with the Mission Statement of the University of Auckland Library Te Tumu Herenga: 
    The University Library is committed to providing quality library and information services to support and enhance the teaching, research, scholarship and creative work of the University. The Library affirms its special obligations to Maori.

    The Engineering Library will:

  • collect and organise materials and facilitate access to them
  • employ state-of-the-art techniques and methods in information delivery
  • educate readers to become skilled in locating information
  • develop professionally competent and highly motivated staff
  • play an active and innovative role in the development of the University

    • and in addition:

  • support the educational and research activities of the institutions and individual users the Library was established to serve
  • provide access to the literature of engineering and related disciplines.
