Digital TV

The University is continuing to pilot a commercial digital television service, eTV. eTV is a New Zealand Internet TV provider, delivering a range of live channels and recorded content to the education sector. This is also an opportunity to highlight UniSat, the University's own satellite TV service which receives and broadcasts local and international television channels around the University. Both services are available to staff and students, although students are only able to view live and recorded streams, while staff are able to download and request recordings. The University's Screenrights licence allows the recording and copying of television programmes for educational purposes.

Please provide your feedback on digital TV services.

The Television Vault +

Searchable, on-demand access to over 4000 programmes archived from the UniSat and eTV services, as well as a range of public lecture and other content produced by the University of Auckland, is available via Library Search.

A regular search on your topic of interest will bring up not only books and print material but also any related on-demand video content ready for you to stream from wherever you may be with a choice of two different sizes to help cater for differing internet connections.

If you're interested in a particular show you can always try a search using the programme title, for example Native Affairs.
