Information for Students
We can help you to effectively find information and evaluate it. There are all sorts of printed and electronic guides, seminars, courses and tours that the Library offers to help you build and expand your information literacy skills. You can go to the Library Workshops page on the Library website to find out what library workshops are on offer and book a session. Alternatively, you can contact a Subject Librarian, to find out what library workshops are available in your subject areas. For general library workshops, such as how to use Library Search, Google Scholar , Databases and EndNote, contact Learning Services, by email learningservices@auckland.ac.nz or phone 3737599 ext. 83797/86679/89744. The Library Literacy Programme Subject Librarians will introduce you to the resources and search strategies that are most appropriate for your assignments, topics, and levels of expertise. Most often, sessions combine demonstrations of electronic resources, discussions of search strategies, and hands-on practice. The programme includes:
