Extra Styles
For most EndNote users the majority of styles that you will need are supplied with EndNote. Version X5 only installs the 100 most frequestly used styles. If the style you want is not included you can download new or updated styles from the EndNote Styles page.
In some cases you may need a special style that is not available from the EndNote website. Some of these styles have been included in the table below.
Windows users should save any new style in a folder (eg: endnotex5styles) in one of the following locations: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\ (for Windows XP) or C:\Users\[User Name]\ Documents\ (for Windows Vista or Windows 7).
Macintosh users should save extra styles in Macintosh HD >>Applications >>EndNoteX5 >>styles
You will need to make sure the EndNote folder locations match where you are saving the styles. In EndNote select Edit > Preferences > Folder Locations to check the locations. |

Modifying Styles
The EndNote web site offers the EndNote Style Finder, designed to help you locate the right bibliographic style. You can create new styles, or modify existing styles. Refer to the official EndNote Manual for detailed instructions on creating and editing styles. It is usually easier to find a style close to your requirements and edit it than it is to create a new style. If you do modify a style, it is wise to make a copy of the original style before you make changes, keeping the original style as well as the modified style - just in case!
