ENDNOTE - Extra Filters

The Library has many databases that require different EndNote filters. The majority of filters that you will need are supplied with EndNote. In some cases a special filter may be required, and these filters can be downloaded from this page.

Instructions for downloading a Filter

1. Right click on the link for the filter required.
2. Choose SaveTarget As or Save Link As
3. Save the filter file in one of the following locations:

• C:\Program Files\EndNoteX3\Filters (for Windows if you have full administration rights)
• C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\ My Documents\Endnote\ (for Windows XP)
• C:\Users\[User Name]\ Documents\Endnote\ (for Windows Vista)
• Macintosh HD >>Applications >>EndNoteX3 >>filters (for Macs)

If you are saving the file in C:\Documents and Settings or C:\Users you will need to make sure the EndNote folder locations match where you are saving the filters. In EndNote select Edit > Preferences > Folder Locations to check the locations.
