This package is an expansion of census data that is currently published by Statistics New Zealand. It includes additional combinations of variables measured in the 2006 Census of Population and Dwellings and as a result provides New Zealand researchers more information in areas that are of interest to them.
 
Modules

Each module contains combinations of variables measured in the 2006 Census. Variables include:

 

Birthplace Highest qualification Tenure holder
Ethnic group Legal marital status Unpaid activities
Language spoken Social marital status Work status
Maori descent indicator Total personal income Status in employment
Religious affiliation Personal income sources

All counts include New Zealand residents only, and exclude overseas visitors. All tables contain urban/rural area, age group and sex.
