INTRODUCTION

The Microtexts Collection is comprised of texts such as books, serials, theses and research collections preserved on microfilm, microfiche or microcard. It is part of Special Collections, located in the General Library on the Alfred Street side of Level G.

MICROTEXTS COLLECTION ASSISTANCE

A Microtexts Assistant is available for assistance with the collection and equipment, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm. It is advisable to make an appointment for your first visit to Microtexts. The hours of access to the room, however, are the same as the General Library.

MICROTEXTS EQUIPMENT

A range of reader/printers is available for copying material by either using the library photocopy system or digitising (and printing or e-mailing) via Netaccount. The emailing service is only available to members of the University. Non-members may print by purchasing a photocopy card from the autoloader machine on Level 1 of the General Library.

MICROTEXTS ARRANGEMENT AND LOCATION

Most materials, both serials and monographs are available in the room. Check out this map, or if you need further locating an item, contact the Microtexts Supervisor.

LOCATING MICROTEXTS ON VOYAGER

All the items held in the collection can be found on Voyager by using the same search methods as for retrieving books.
To retrieve this material by call number, the format needs to be entered along with the year and running number e.g.

microfilm 88-121
microfiche 90-101
microcard 10228
