The Biblio Centre comprises the Acquisitions, Cataloguing and Serials Departments and is responsible for ordering and cataloguing publications in all formats for the University of Auckland Library system.
The Acquisitions Department is responsible for the ordering and receipt of materials and for assisting Subject Librarians and Library Liaison Officers with collection building resources.
The Serials Unit carries out the same functions for serial subscriptions, including management of networked databases and serials cataloguing.
The Cataloguing Department is responsible for the cataloguing and classification of monographic Library materials and for ensuring appropriate access through Voyager.
The Biblio Centre supports and promotes collection development activities by other Library and academic staff by providing information about publications in all formats and access to appropriate databases and resources.
