Associate Membership
See also: Membership of and Conditions of Access to The University of Auckland Library
Members of the public may visit The University of Auckland Library
system but will have limited access to Library services unless they
become Associate Members. Associate Membership will normally be available
to graduates of any university if evidence of the degree held is provided.
Only in exceptional circumstances will the University Librarian grant
Associate Membership to an individual who is enrolled in a formal
course of study or who is a current staff member at another tertiary
educational institution (unless specifically covered by a listed membership
category). Approval for Associate Membership is given at the discretion
of the University Librarian, and may also be extended to persons who
do not meet the criterion.
Note that current staff and students
of The University of Auckland do not need to apply for Associate Membership
as they are already able to use the Library's services. Intending
doctoral candidates should contact the Graduate
Centre. Free membership is available to retired members of staff,
please complete the Associate Membership form and submit it to any Lending Desk.
